Wok of Love Episode 37
Sae Woo (Jung Ryeo Won) asks if Seo Poong (Lee Joon Ho) will break up with her if her mother asks him to. She says she’s coming back to work tomorrow. Seo Poong won’t agree. Sae Woo declares they must break up if he won’t stand up to her mother. She gets on the bus and leaves.
Bo Ra calls Seo Poong that there’s trouble with Sam Seong. Seo Poong finds Dong Sik trying to punch Sam Seong, who is trying to pack his locker contents and leave for good. In the struggle Dong Sik accidently punches Seo Poong.
He’s not having a good night!
Sae Woo isn’t happy with her mother’s visit to Seo Poong. She tells her mother that she’s going to continue to cook no matter what. Sae Woo isn’t happy with her mother’s interference and belief that Sae Woo is only cooking to be near Seo Poong. Sae Woo’s mother can’t believe her daughter won’t listen.
Sam Seong and Seo Poong drink. Sam Seong reiterates that Seo Poong’s inexpensive lunch menu can’t be tolerated. Seo Poong outlines his plan to make delicious for all ages. Seo Poong calls this kitchen uptight. He only wants happy customers. Seo Poong asks Sam Seong to come back. Seo Poong shares he’ll leave the hotel eatery in 5 years. That gets Sam Seong’s attention.
A drunk Seo Poong heads to Sae Woo’s house.
Sae Woo’s father calls Doo Chil Seong (Jang Hyuk) and thanks him for his support. He says he’s ready to repay the loan Sae Woo took out.
Seo Poong rings the doorbell. Chae Seol Ja (Park Ji Young) is horrified to see Seo Poong outside. She tells Sae Woo’s parents she’ll handle the unexpected visitor. But Seo Poong bursts into the house and declares that Sae Woo broke up with him. Sae Woo’s father isn’t happy when Seo Poong confesses he unbuttoned two buttons on Sae Woo’s jacket. Sae Woo’s father orders Seo Poong to leave. Seo Poong gushes how pretty Sae Woo is. He tells her parents to apologize for having a pretty daughter. He passes out on the living room floor. Sae Woo’s parents decide to let Seo Poong sleep it off.
Im Geok Jung (Tae Hang Ho) puts the passed-out Seo Poong in his room.
Sae Woo sneaks in a tends to Seo Poong’s wound (for Dong Sik’s punch). Geok Jung sees her and Sae Woo order Geok Jung to leave the home. Geok Jung won’t. Sae Woo kisses opts to kiss Seo Poong and then leave the room.
Seo Poong wakes, heads to the kitchen on auto pilot to get a drink. He realizes where he is. He remembers what he said. He leaves.
Chil Seong puts on a suit. He and the boys sing to pump themselves up for the auction. When they arrive, they are surprised how many interested buyers there are.
Seo Poong enters the kitchen happy to see both Sam Seong and Sae Woo there.
Chil Seong and Maeng Dal discuss options for their bid. Sae Woo’s father arrives with the money to pay back Sae Woo’s debt. Chil Seong says he’s overpaying the debt. Sae Woo’s father is confident that Chil Seong will probably invest the extra. Chil Seong submits his bid. All the buyers wait to hear the winning bid.
The kitchen is in full swing handling the lunch orders. Seo Poong tries to engage Sae Woo but she ignores him. Seo Poong intervenes back up Seo Poong’s direction. Seo Poong points out that Sam Seong is an expert at these inexpensive lunch menu items even though he doesn’t want to admit.
Chil Seong and his men leave the auction. They head to the hotel eatery and order lunch. Seo Poong checks to ensure everyone is enjoying their food. Chil Seong even enjoys the food (he refused to eat the meal because of his mother’s abandonment).
Sae Woo’s father tells Sae Woo that he invested with Chil Seong. She likes that. But he hangs up when she mentions Seo Poong.
Chil Seong tells the kitten the hotel is his and they can live there. Chil Seong stares at the hotel with a smile on his face.
Sae Woo and Seo Poong argue about their issues. Seo Poong decides to apologize to Sae Woo’s parents about his drunken visit the previous evening.
Seo Poong apologizes to Sae Woo’s mother (Lee Mi Sook) . He offers to cook in their kitchen just like they worked in his. He offers to work like he is one of the family. Seo Poong declares he’ll live their while he’s their cook. He heads to Geok Jung’s room. Sae Woo’s mother isn’t sure what just happened.
Maeng Dal meets Chil Seong at the eatery’s private dining room. Chil Seong says it is time for them to leave this place. Chil Seong identifies the walls of money that are Maeng Dal’s for his loyal service. Maeng Dal is touched. Chil Seong tells him to buy a house and get married. Tears fill Maeng Dal’s eyes. Chil Seong tells him men never cry. They hug.

Seo Poong shares Geok Jung’s room. They both can’t sleep. Then Geok Jung falls sleep.
Sae Woo stealthily enters Geok Jung’s room. Seo Poong is happy to see her. Geok Jung wakes and orders Sae Woo to return to her room. Seol Ja enters and orders Sae Woo to return to her room. Sae Woo doesn’t want to. Seol Ja plants herself between Seo Poong and Sae Woo. Seo Poong asks why Seol Ja and Geok Jung won’t come to work. Sae Woo suggests she and Seo Poong run away. Seol Ja says they need to fight. Seol Ja suggests Seo Poong fight when Sae Woo’s mother. Sae Woo doesn’t want her mother to be mean to Seo Poong. He tells her he’ll work at the house chef for one month. Sae Woo points out they only want to date. Seo Poong admits Sae Woo’s parents are scary but not being with Sae Woo won’t work for him. They coo and make up. They wink at each other. They both recall their conversation that winking was racing. Seol Ja tells Geok Jung they can suffer the cuteness.
The next morning, Seo Poong makes breakfast with Seol Ja and Geok Jung. Sae Woo’s father thinks it is tasty. Sae Woo’s mother isn’t interested in eating Seo Poong’s food. But she ends up eating it and orders Seo Poong to do the dishes before he leaves for work.
Chil Seong and his mother (Lee Mi Sook) sit outside the hospital. She spots man and declares he’s sexy. She tries to interest Chil Seong in the woman next to the man. He’s not interested. She wishes she could see him married. He tells her to live long. She agrees.
Sae Woo’s parents discuss Seol Ja and Geok Jung. Sae Woo’s father wants Seol Ja and Geok Jung to be able to work. Sae Woo’s mother is worried he’s leaning toward accepting Seo Poong.
Maeng Dal brings Seol Ja to the walls of money. He declares they are his. She’s stoked. She wants him to buy a house. Maeng Dal lists all the things he’ll do with the money. None of them involve a house they could live in. Seol Ja leaves unhappy.
CEO Yong Seung Ryong (Kim Sa Kwon) is arrested.
Maeng Dal and the men prepare Chil Seong’s new office in the hotel. Chil Seong enters the hotel. The hotel and kitchen staff greet him with big smiles and cheers.
Sae Woo cleans the kitchen after dinner.
Seo Poong stares at a gift for Sae Woo.
Sae Woo calls Seo Poong detailing her kitchen duties. She tells Seo Poong to go home. He decides to see what’s she’s doing. He finds her cooking. They cook together. Seo Poong kisses her. She wants to cook. He wants to have fun. Seo Poong pulls her to him and suggest they have fun together. Seo Poong says he wants to sleep in a different room. They kiss.
There is a line of customers for the hotel’s eatery. The customers love the food.

The kitchen is humming. Everyone contributes.
Geok Jung and Bo Ra have fun working the noodle dough. Geok Jung is sweet to Bo Ra. She loves it.
Maeng Dal takes Seol Ja to a hotel room. She admits she’s nervous. Maeng Dal assures her he knows what to do. Maeng Dal pulls her into the room.
The kitchen is firing on all cylinders. Seo Poong calls out the last order of the series. They all cook as an integrated team. Seo Poong watches his team with satisfaction.
When the kitchen is empty. Seo Poong offers Sae Woo the box. Inside it is THE future cookie. She reads THE future that in front of her is her true love. She realizes what it is. Seo Poong admits he was afraid of the future then but he isn’t anymore. He asks Sae Woo to marry him. Sae Woo agrees. They smile and kiss.
My Thoughts
All’s well that ends well. Everyone ended up happy. Writer Seo ticked most of the boxes and wrapped up the important stories for the characters in an affable manner. Another way to put it (albeit blunt)…this was an decent finale that capped off an underwhelming series. Writer Seo never took the story, the characters or the series to a deep level nor was the series written in a consistent manner. This series was more cotton candy fluff than a series of consequence. Done well, I enjoy fun fluffy series. Wok of Love it had moments, but overall it was like a pleasant appetizer not a full robust meal.
Chef Seo Poong (Lee Joon Ho) finally had harmony in the kitchen. He convinced Sam Seong to cook with him dangling the carrot of head chef in 5 years. Sam Seong dialed back his bullying of Sae Woo which was a relief. Seo Poong won over Sae Woo’s father but her mother wasn’t converted…yet. Seo Poong revealed the mystery fortune that he’d kept from Sae Woo. He topped the fortune with an offer of marriage.
Dan Sae Woo (Jung Ryeo Won) refused to stop working in the kitchen. She kept on going ignoring anyone else that told her to leave. She won the prize when Seo Poong proposed just after revealing that the secret fortune identified them each other true loves. She happily accepted.
Doo Chil Seong (Jang Hyuk) came to terms with his mother. Writer Seo penned Chil Seong’s final act as a man that successfully bid to buy the hotel (with a cash influx from Sae Woo’s father to thank Chil Seong for caring for his daughter while he was in jail), a man that walked away from his loan shark and gangster professions to start a new career as hotel owner, and a man who was finally comfortable with the mother that abandoned him long ago. I enjoyed it when Chil Seong allowed himself to eat the meal that he’d refused to eat because it was the meal he was eating when his mother abandoned him. When Chil Seong gifted Maeng Dal with several of the money wallpapered rooms, Maeng Dal was thrilled and hugged his friend. When Chil Seong sat outside the hospital with his mother, it was obvious that they were moving forward. As they compatibly chewed their gum together, took a photo together, you could see a positive future for both of them. I’d bet that his mother beats cancer.
How many wishes on my wish list were granted?
* Granted – Seo Poong has a competent staff that supports his dream for the kind of eatery he wants to create.
* Granted – Sae Woo gets to pursue her dream of cooking in the kitchen next to the man she loves.
* Granted – Seo Poong and Sae Woo come to the realization that their love and support for each other is what matters. Forget what other’s think they should do or be.
* Granted – Chil Seong comes to terms with his mother. I don’t want her to die. That would be a major bummer.
* Granted – Chil Seong succeeds in purchasing the hotel and tosses CEO Yong out.
* Not Granted – Chil Seong realizes that maybe just maybe the vet is a woman worth exploring and decides to pursue her. Writer Seo missed the perfect opportunity to have the vet be the woman on the bench next to the older man his mother noticed. Then Chil Seong and the vet would have met one more time and been fated. I shake my head.
* Not Granted – The show ends with a Seo Poong, Sae Woo, and Chil Seong happy and comfortable in their mutual friendship. Instead the show ended with a kiss by our leading couple Seo Poong and Sae Woo agreeing they would marry and forge through life together.

After Money Flower which Jang Hyuk was THE star of the series and one of his best dramas, Wok of Love was struggle to watch. He was initially relegated to standard second lead. Then Writer Seo gave his character interesting facets and a couple of moments, but the potential of this character was never fully realized.

@A.D.DO! I can’t argue about Hyuky’s pics. I saw that in an interview he said he doesn’t turn down too many roles these days because he’s just glad the audience still wants him. (A flawed stance in my opinion.) And despite the fact that he says he takes all offers, then pray somebody tell me please, why is Ths Voice season 2 proceeding without him?!
It would’ve been the perfect chance to have a romance bud for him and Extra-Sensory-Hearing-Officer-Who-They-Forgot-Has-Extra-Senory-Hearing. It would’nt have been inappropriate in Season 1 with Jang Hyuk’s character just losing his wife but a nice seque into Season 2 (even though that show was not about the investigative characters so much as it was about the crimes). Still, it would’ve been interesting to have the two characters care about each other as deal with one out in the field, and one listening to everything happening around the other and helping with The Forgotten Hearing.

After reading your thorough recap I feel like I don’t have to watch the last 2 eps. I’ll just skip through for Jang Hyuk Scenes. And can’t believe they didn’t go forward with the Vet. I was counting on that. Now as a CEO he may never see her again. Eh, I’m SURE he will.
So I assume Maeng Dal bought a full hotel suite instead of a house? It would be something he’d do since he’s so loyal to Chil Seong and his best friend.
Can’t wait for Jang Hyuk’s next drama! I hope that one’s good.

I ALMOST got the beat down of Sam Seong 📓 that I’ve been waiting for … and to think Doo Sik was going to beat Sam Seong 📓 for Poong’s 👨🍳 sake, not for the affair with his wife…
Doesn’t the restaurant ultimately belong to Chil Seung 🕶️💛❓⁉️. How could Poong 👨🍳 promise Sam Seong 📓 that he can run the kitchen in 5 years❓⁉️ I know Poong 👨🍳 is a nice guy, but I am puzzled as to why he considers betrayer Sam Seong 📓 to still be his friend.
What❓ we don’t get to see Poong 👨🍳 face the music, or in this case the family after his drunken outburst❓⁉️ NOTE TO SELF: if you tend to have drunken outbursts either A) Don’t 🚫🍸 drink when you are upset. B) If you feel you must drink have a friend who is willing to stay sober AND overpower you BEFORE you go somewhere and make a fool 🃏 out of yourself.
How awesome of Chil Seung 🕶️💛 to give the wallpaper money to Maeng Dal 🏍️. Poor Seol Ja 🔪 just wanted to have Maeng Dal 🏍️ to hang on to enough money 💰 for him to get his own place. When Gum Lady 🍬/Mom was talking to Chil Seung 🕶️💛 about getting married I thought IV Lady/Veterinarian 🐈 was going to show up … sadly no fulfillment of Chil Seung 🕶️💛 getting a satisfactory love 💕 interest … but I suppose the door has not been shut on a potential love 💕 match with IV Lady/Veterinarian 🐈.
I’m pleased that Banker 🏦 Dan not only repaid Chil Seung 🕶️💛 for Sae Woo’s 🤺 debt, but financed Chil Seung 🕶️💛 so he could buy the hotel 🏨. The gangsta with the heart of gold 🕶️💛 received his payback and then some, enabling him to extracate himself from being a loanshark and gangsta to a legit businessman, as per his mother’s 🍬 wishes. Chil Seung 🕶️💛 looked Soo handsome on his inauguration day❗ On a side note 🎶: it was VERY SATISFYING to see CEO Yong 🐖 restrained with the ridiculous white rope as he headed to prison.
I’m satisfied Sam Seong 📓 snapped out of his crappy attitude and the hotel 🏨 kitchen ran smoothly, although he REALLY deserved a good smackdown 👊🏻🥊💢. I 💖 that Seol Ja 🔪 and Geok Jeong 🚗 were able to fulfill their dreams of working in the hotel 🏨 kitchen; I was REALLY annoyed Jeong Hae 🌰 👸 tried to stifle them. I 💗 that Sae Woo 🤺 tenaciously kept coming back to the kitchen and Poong 👨🍳 did his best to win over her parents. I 💖 they finally got it together as a couple Sae Poong 🤺👨🍳. I got to the point that I don’t care if her parents (I think it is Jeong Hae 🌰 👸) EVER accept Poong 👨🍳.
I concur with KJT about Wok of Love “overall it was like a pleasant appetizer not a full robust meal.” I would have liked to have seen the three together or at least a little more bromance 💙 after Chil Seung 🕶️ 💛 took over the hotel 🏨. How many times do we have to see a potentially excellent storyline not come to fruition? A.D.DO! has a point about Jang Hyuk not being the best at picking dramas, although I don’t consider Money 💰 🌸 Flower to be a flop; it may not have had a happy ending, as revenge does not equal happiness, but I thought it was a good drama.
A.D.DO! if “Voice” was a flop, why would “Voice 2”, which Lee Jin Wook selected and has the same writer as the first installment, be any better❓⁉️ Please let us know if it is any good, as I’m not sure I want to spend my drama watching time on this second installment in the Voice series.
I hope Jang Hyuk’s “Bad Papa” turns out to be better. I’m still holding out hope for an epic drama like Chuno❗ Yep, it just went back to CHUNO❗

I loved Money Flower. The writer’s penchant for excellent cliffhangers and Jang Hyuk’s character’s dominance during the series were wonderful. Plus Jang Hyuk was perfectly groomed and dressed. It was a treat to watch him work in that series.
I hope Jang Hyuk’s “Bad Papa” turns out to be better.

Yep, omitting IV Lady/Veterinarian 🐈 from the finale was yet another mistep. So many missed opportunities, large and small, with this drama that would have enriched the story. Don’t get me wrong, I DID like it, but a few tweaks would have vastly improved it and may have mitigated the irritation expressed by so many Jang Hyuk fans.

In speaking of VOICE being a flop, It was from my perspective only…I know a lot of you liked it. I hated it and won’t be watching #2. (Except to sneak a peak now and then through my fingers at LJW. )I have been a fervent fan of JH over the years, loving THANK YOU, ROBBERS, SOGC, FTLY, etc.. and waited with bated breath to see GAEKJU, BEAUTIFUL MIND, ORDINARY PEOPLE, VOICE, MONEY FLOWER AND WOL..only to be so very disappointed each time. Not only bad scripts, but JH seems to have lost his spark …walking somnolently through each role. I hope he comes back to us with the same verve, passion, & vitality he used to have. But I’ve been hoping for this for quite some time now.

Andrea, I concur Voice was a huge disappointment and HARD TO WATCH; I only watched it for Hyukie. Which is why I’m puzzled Lee Jin Wook chose to be the lead in the second installment. If Voice 2 is successful, then I will personally crown Lee Jin Wook the King off Decision Making.
I was also quite disappointed most of the dramas you mentioned, with the exception of Money 💰🌸 Flower, which I thought was terrific, although I would have preferred a happier ending. However since revenge and happiness ARE mutually exclusive and JH’s character chose revenge over love, what else could you expect❓⁉️
As much as I do NOT want to admit it, I think you have a valid point about Hyukie sharing the blame for some of these disappointments. “JH seems to have lost his spark …walking somnolently through each role.” I hope Hyukie can get his groove back for “Bad Papa”.

Each series JH selects he brings his abilities and makes the character work. However he has been hampered by writing in several series (Voice, WOL, Merchant of Gaekju) where his character wasn’t as nuanced, smart, etc. as other stellar characters he’s played. The live shoot “write as the series is filmed” doesn’t provide the actors a full understanding of their characters and stories before they agree to join a series.
I wonder if JH’s constant working schedule afford him limited series choices when he’s in a timeframe to choose.

As for Jang Hyuk, I liked Money Flower and Voice, though he needed more character development in Voice and it was brutal to watch as a whole. Not a fan of LJW but I do love Lee Hana so I may watch Voice 2.
I haven’t seen FTLY yet, to be honest his character appears so obnoxious to me. I like Jang Nara but I’m a little ‘ehh’ with her sometimes. Depends. But I know everyone loves JH in FTLY and since I didn’t see it I have nothing more to say and I’ll zip it. I’ll just have to watch it through to get a full impression.

Gaeju – for your sanity, skip it.
Shine or Go Craxy is VERY good but be prepared for the air to be sucked out of it by an ending that had to be, in order to not deviate from history.
FTLY – JH SEEMS obnoxious but it works to make the character interesting because if you watch the things he says and does which are considerate and supportive of others in direct conflict with his flamboyant irksomeness. And it turns out there’s a reason for his behavior right down to the annoying fake laugh. (Besides its an hommage (sp?) to Hyuk’s career up to that point.)

Almost all of that is based on the story the writer creates and actors have no say in that. It seems like making a choice to sign on with a series is the luck of the draw. Actors don’t know the full story (because the writer hasn’t written it), actors, etc. before they cross their fingers and sign on the dotted line. Given those factors, no wonder hit series only happen when all the stars (writing, directing, acting) align.

That’s true. Korean Drama actors have to put a lot of trust in the writers. And writers need to learn not to be swayed by public opinion and tell they story they want to tell. I feel like Wok of Love dropped the ball on many different plot points. Poong’s ex for example – She was insufferable, nobody liked her, yet the writer was going to have her move into an apt. above the restaurant. Suddenly she disappears into the thin air and you don’t even see her with the CEO. We can all agree on IV VET Lady being Chil Seong’s love interest, but again no development there. The writer chose to make CS pine and pine and pine away for the little Miss clueless to the end. And if they were gonna drop the whole silly horse plot they shouldn’t have even brought him in. It didn’t fit anything.

Three good examples of plot points started and stopped and/or never fully realized. I’ve not seen a series from Writer Seo previously. Have you seen other series by this writer (Jealousy Incarnate, Miss Korea, Pasta, etc.)?

I dropped Miss Korea, even though I heard raves about it, it wasn’t my cup of tea. I watched all of Pasta and in the end disliked it so much. So it was kind of a ‘hate-watch’. I saw the same elements used in this drama. Weird-googly eyed female lead, strict/bossy chef, loving, caring, do-anything 2nd lead man. ugh.

This is the Jealousy Incarnate writer?!! That show was amazing and I should’ve hated it! The main female lead couldn’t make up her mind to the point where she proposed (and did) move in with two men who were best friends which put their friendship in jeopardy. But it came out great. Probably due to the fact that it’s hard not to like Gong Hyo shin; and Cho Jung-Seok’s comedic timing (and acting skills) is just plain wonderful. Oh! @JT – while Cho Jung suk wouldn’t normally make my bias list, his kissing skills and his entertainment multi-talents made me look at him in an altogether different way. (He’s made the list.)

@KJT…”When all the stars align”..very well put, and I so agree. When everything comes together there’s nothing better than a KDrama, unfortunately it doesn’t seem to happen too often. (For me anyway)….too silly, too far fetched, too violent(Voice), and on and on…
Jang Hyuk is such an incredible talent it’s just a shame we don’t get to see him at his best. And frankly, I will never give up on him like I said earlier in a fit of frustration! Just a slice of his brilliance is better than nothing…but please, please, somebody , let those stars align!
BTW, some of his best scenes ever where in SOGC, so when I watch it over and over, I just make up my own happy ending!
As for WOL….when it ended, I thought, “huh?” “That was it?”…a lot of wok flipping and slurping noodles. The two ‘leads’ had no charisma, and the only thing JH got to do was take his shades on and off. Come on, what a waste!
Keep up the good work KJT…let’s hope we get a real winner next time!

Agreed that top notch kdramas are hard to come by. I’ve found more satisfaction outside the romance genre. Sketch and Tunnel are two recent favorites. Romances rely on the intangible chemistry between leads and a writer that can keep the journey to love interesting from start to finish. Revenge dramas or police dramas have it easier. Bad people deserve to be caught and our leads make that happen.
SOGC had some stellar moments for JH but I’ve never rewatched that series.

I only want romance, so guess that’s why I’m disappointed most of the time.
I thought JH and Oh Yeon-seo were so adorable together in SOGC..love to see them pairing up again.
It’s hard to please everybody…different strokes for different folks.

I’ve been disappointed with many Kdrama romances 💕, I don’t like lip presses, unless they are a warm-up to something a little more passionate 💋. I’m also not a fan of lampost 🛋️ kisses, you know when the female ♀️ stance is stiff and response is nil, as if she were a lampost🛋️. I’m not looking for sex, but tasteful, but passionate 💋 moments.
So much discontent. I think I’d prefer no expectation and then be pleasantly 🎊surprised🎉. I loved “Sketch” which had no 🚫💕 romantic expectation but was a solid, consistent story with plenty of intrigue. On the other hand “Mad Dog” kept baiting 🎣 us potential chemistry ⚗️ between the yummy Woo Do Hwan and sexy Ryu Hwa Young. There were a few potentially intimate situations that went NO WHERE. The reasonably good story was marred (in my eyes 👁️👁️) by the lure of romance 💕 that NEVER came to fruition. 😣🍇
Kdrama bromances 💙 seem to be more consistently satisfying than romances 💕. JH and Oh Yeon-seo were a nice exception as they had GREAT chemistry ⚗️ on SOGC, their chemistry ⚗️ was the BEST part of SOGC❗

Well, don’t think I missed much…I hate fight scenes and am bored to tears by JH’sBoxing IG videos.
More importantly, I DO want the sex! But I don’t have to SEE it. But at least give an indication you feel SOMETHING! It’s the naivete’ of most of these dramas that drives me nuts. Don’t they even have a “sense memory” of what it feels like to be turned on? At least in THE DEVIL BESIDE YOU Rainie Yang and Mike He actually hopped in the sack! And BEFORE they were married! OMG!

I had to chuckle at your phrasing but I concur the often frustrating limitations that kdrama romances provide viewers. I scanned the list of dramas I’ve recapped and came up with three that dealt with sex in a way I liked:
* Lawless Lawyer – this couple made love as a natural evolution of a relationship. There was NO awkward next morning, NO shame, it was refreshing.
* Healer – She came to him to comfort him and one thing led to another. Again the next morning was sweet and full of smiles. Darling couple!
* Another Miss Oh – This couple had sizzle and making loving was next step in their relationship. They were adults having an adult relationship. They’ve got a passionate encounters that I identified as a favorite scene.

@Jane Tilly agreed that Jang Hyuk and Oh Yeon-seo had great chemistry in SOGC. And let me play “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” with Oh Yeon seo here and say she had amazing chemistry with Rain in Come Back Mister as well (even though it was not a romance but there was sexual tension of two very attractive people in proximity of each other). It’s making me think that this thing we call “chemistry” may only be actors’ acting ability because when I look at almost all the characters that are in my favorite kissing scenes it’s always the same actors and actresses. For example, I tend to focus on the guys in my favorite kiss scenes, but Gong Hyo-Jin is on the receiving end of the kisses in each of those shows. Hmmmmm.

TOTALLY CONFUSED! The whole second half of the series was based around trying to win round the mum so she approved of Pung.. but it never happened?! WhAT?! What happened to him working there a month.. how can he suddenly propose to her? There wasnt even an inkling that she was changing her mind even slightly, which might have been good enough! Seoul-ja and mingeul never got a house, gangsta bro never met that lady for the 5th time…
I was enjoying what i thought was the penultimate episode and then BAM. The end. What a disappointment.. wow.
