Sketch Episode 15 Recap

Sketch Episode 15 Recap

Kim Do Jin (Lee Dong Gun) reports to Jang Tae Joon (Jung Jin Young) that Shi Hyun has the elder’s assistant. Tae Joon is agitated. The elder’s assistant knows Prosecutor Yoo killed Chief Moon. If the elder’s assistant contacts the Elder, the meeting will go up in smoke. He orders Do Jin to kill the elder’s assistant.

Detective Kang Dong Soo (Rain) calls Sargent Yoo Shi Hyun (Lee Sun Bin) to confirm she’s okay and on the way to the police station with the elder’s assistant. He warns her that Do Jin is after them.

At the police station, Dong Soo orders Detective Kyung Tae to guard the elder’s assistant. Detective Kyung Tae counters they need to talk to the chief. Alone, Shi Hyun considers the elder’s assistant’s claim that her brother shot Chief Moon.

Do Jin considers storming the police station to extract the Elder’s assistant but Tae Joon stops him. Tae Joon declares as the head of Internal Affairs he’s better suited. Do Jin warns him that Dong Soo will be waiting for him. Tae Joon shrugs and says there is no other way. He apologizes to Do Jin but won’t explain why.

Tae Joon calls Prosecutor Yoo (Lee Seung Joo) (Shi Hyun’s brother) and explains the Elder’s assistant is in custody. Prosecutor Yoo plans to come to the police station. Tae Joon warns him that will reveal too much. Tae Joon says he’ll handle the situation. Prosecutor Yoo wants to know Tae Joon’s plan. Tae Joon simply reminds Prosecutor Yoo of the promise they agreed to when he recruited Do Jin. Prosecutor Yoo confirms the promise should be kept. He looks upset.

Hmmm, what is the promise?

Tae Joon’s men arrive outside the police station. Tae Joon explains they must extract an important prisoner. He puts a gun in his waistband.

The Elder’s assistant waits in an interrogation room.

Dong Soo tells his friend, the chief, that he chose his station because he’s trustworthy. Detective Kyung Tae rushes in stating Tae Joon and his men are coming. It’s a faceoff between the chief and Tae Joon. One phone call to the chief’s boss has him back down. But Dong Soo won’t back down. He declares everyman here has pride in their job and can’t be bullied. Dong Soo points his finger at Tae Joon and declares it is almost time to pay for what he did to Ji Soo. Dong Soo promises that Do Jin and Prosecutor Yoo will be caught simultaneously. The ambulance arrives. Shi Hyun and Detective Kyung Tae bring the Elder’s assistant out of the interrogation room. He asks Dong Soo to grant him a single phone call, promising full cooperation. Dong Soo hands over his phone. The Elder’s assistant places the call. Tae Joon knows all is lost if the Elder’s assistant tips off the Elder. He pulls his gun and shoots the Elder’s assistant in the chest. Tae Joon points his gun at Dong Soo. Then he points his gun at his own head.

Prosecutor Yoo sits in his car waiting.

Tae Joon’s gun goes off.

Prosecutor Yoo feels the disturbance in the force. He gets out of his car and stares into the water. He knows his team is down a man. He calls Do Jin and says they have things to do.

The one thing you can say about Tae Joon is that he was unwaveringly loyal to Prosecutor Yoo and the cause to bring down the Elder to the bitter end.

Prosecutor Yoo packs up Tae Joon’s office. He burns several items.

Shi Hyun and Dong Soo look at Tae Joon in the morgue. What do they do now?

Prosecutor Yoo calls Do Jin and confirms he’s cleaned up the office. Do Jin reports there isn’t any incriminating in Tae Joon’s house. Prosecutor Yoo isn’t surprised. He’s worried there might be link to him. Do Jin declares he’ll take Tae Joon’s computer. Do Jin opens Tae Joon’s computer and extracts the hard drive. Strapped on the hard drive is a key to storage locker. Do Jin pockets the key and leaves.

As Do Jin exits Detective Kyung Tae and the police arrive. Detective Kyung Tae calls Dong Soo to report the Tae Joon’s house has already been searched and the hard drive is missing.

The police search base camp.

Shi Hyun doesn’t understand why Tae Joon commit suicide. Dong Soo guesses it was to protect her brother. Dong Soo tells her if she can’t arrest her brother, then she should step aside. Shi Hyun wonders why her brother is doing this. Dong Soo believes the goal is to eliminate the Elder. Dong Soo points out that both Prosecutor Yoo and the Elder use and kill the innocent to obtain their personal goals. He tells Shi Hyun to consider carefully. He walks away. Shi Hyun gets a phone call.

Do Jin drinks and remembers Tae Joon’s words about the world. Prosecutor Yoo finds him. Do Jin offers the bottle and Prosecutor Yoo drinks. Prosecutor Yoo declares Tae Joon’s sacrifice must mean something.

The Deputy Chief Prosecutor is shocked to learn Tae Joon is dead. Prosecutor Yoo reports that Tae Joon killed the Elder’s assistant who was about to spill the beans about the Elder. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor can’t believe the Elder’s assistant would betray the Elder. Prosecutor Yoo states that the Elder’s assistant’s daughter was abducted to force the Elder’s assistant to cooperate. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor confirms that the Elder’s assistant loved his daughter. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor asks what Prosecutor Yoo’s next move is. Prosecutor Yoo reminds him they need to eat together. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor promises to call him soon.

Do Jin asks if the Elder will keep the meeting with the Deputy Chief Prosecutor tomorrow or will it be cancelled. Prosecutor Yoo states the meeting is the crucial to implement the cold sale, which is the Elder’s master move. Prosecutor Yoo tells Do Jin to go the hotel and check out the security.

Dong Soo and Shi Hyun meet Lieutenant Oh Young Sim (Lim Hwa Young) and her friend the financial expert that has analyzed the cold sale plan.

The Deputy Chief Prosecutor reports Tae Joon’s death to Ms. Jo. She doesn’t see any reason to postpone the meeting. The DCO presses that he has a bad feeling out it. Ms. Jo states the cold sale is about more than money.

The financial expert explains someone is purchasing enough that could destabilize the country’s economy. He points out that it has happened in other countries. Shi Hyun asks why anyone would do this.

Ms. Jo says they will come to an agreement with the government and reap financial rewards.

The financial expert reports those ready to destabilize the country stand to reap financial rewards. Dong Soo recalls Chief Moon warning him about cold sale. He knows what that means now. Dong Soo asks how can they stop it? The financial expert declares it is too late. They can’t stop cold sale.

The Deputy Chief Prosecutor asks when cold sale begins, what happens to the average citizen? Ms. Jo declares the upcoming hardship is needed to reset the greedy citizens. Ms. Jo shocks the Deputy Chief Prosecutor when she announces the meeting has been moved and the Elder is waiting.

That surprised me.

Do Jin arrives at the hotel. The conference room has no security. He calls Prosecutor Yoo with the news. Prosecutor Yoo wonders if the meeting with the Elder was moved up.

The Deputy Chief Prosecutor arrives at a stately home. He’s one of many. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor exclaims that he recognizes the leaders in the fields of politics, finance, etc. Ms. Jo introduces him as a good additional to the team. Ms. Jo states this is the final meeting regarding cold sale. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor wonders where the Elder is. Everyone smiles.

Is Ms. Jo the Elder? She is at the head of the table.

Young Sim informs Shi Hyun and Dong Soo that the government will be informed about the cold sale and it’s out of their hands. Shi Hyun declares she’s going to see her brother. Young Sim doesn’t like the idea. Dong Soo agrees that the direct approach is best. Shi Hyun leaves.

It’s time to sketch!

Prosecutor Yoo is ready for a vision!

YES!!!!!

Young Sim sees Shi Hyun sketching.

Ms. Jo states the Elder died 20 years ago. She explains he was a founding member of this group just like her father. They liked using the Elder name to evoke mystery and power behind their collective group actions. Ms. Jo says they were almost discovered. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor states Shi Hyun’s father got close and was murdered for that. Ms. Jo declares every person at this table is the Elder. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor smiles in understanding.

Prosecutor Yoo sees a vision of Dong Soo and Do Jin in their final battle.

Shi Hyun sketches while Young Sim and Dong Soo watch.

Ms. Jo escorts the Deputy Chief Prosecutor out after the meeting. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor doesn’t understand how the group can run without a single leader. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor declares he’ll view her as the Elder and be loyal to her. She accepts his decision and smiles.

Prosecutor Yoo’s visions includes Shi Hyun shot in the chest. He breaks away shocked at what he saw.

Interesting that he pulled himself out of the vision with the shocking vision of his sister’s death.

Shi Hyun wakes from the visions and asks what her sketches fore tell. She’s surprised there are only 4 sketches not 5. Young Sim and Dong Soo look at each other. Dong Soo states that her brother’s powers might have interfered. Shi Hyun leaves to see her brother.

Young Sim asks how long they’ll be able to keep the last sketch from Shi Hyun. Dong Soo pulls the sketch out of his pocket. It shows Prosecutor Yoo shot and on the ground.

Ten minutes earlier…Young Sim calls Dong Soo to looks at the fifth sketch while Shi Hyun draws. They both recognize Prosecutor Yoo on the ground. Dong Soo takes the sketch book from Shi Hyun before she wakes. He rips out the fifth sketch. Young Sim doesn’t like that. She states if Prosecutor Yoo dies, Dong Soo’s decision to hide the sketch could be why. Young Sim knows if Prosecutor Yoo is X, then he ordered Ji Soo’s murder by Do Jin. Dong Soo is clear, they cannot be careful anymore, they have to pursue and kill if needed. Young Sim questions if Dong Soo wants revenge for JS’s death more than justice. Dong Soo is afraid Shi Hyun won’t be able to handle sketching her own brother’s death. Young Sim knows Dong Soo is correct.

Good logical conclusion by Dong Soo. Shi Hyun couldn’t handle sketching her own brother’s death. It might break her. I liked how Young Sim questioned Dong Soo’s true motives.

I LOVE that Shi Hyun foresaw her brother’s death and Young Sim foresaw his sister’s death. Writer Kang you had me worried but that was spot on!

Dong Soo burns the fifth sketch.

Shi Hyun calls her brother. She asks to meet. He hesitates but agrees.

Detective Kyung Tae reports that Prosecutor Yoo arrive unexpectedly and confiscated all their evidence. He shows Dong Soo what they managed to save. It’s a diary Do Jin’s wife started for her unborn baby. Dong Soo reads Do Jin’s wife’s loving words. Young Sim calls him.

Dong Soo arrives at the office. Young Sim tells him she’s located a storage locker that appears to match to the sketch. Young Sim wants Dong Soo to promise not to cause trouble. Without answering, Dong Soo leaves to investigate.

Shi Hyun and Prosecutor Yoo meet. She suggests they eat together. Prosecutor Yoo tells her to look at him. Shi Hyun slowly turns the worry written all over her face. Prosecutor Yoo says her thoughts are always written on her face. Prosecutor Yoo knows she knows. Shi Hyun counters that Prosecutor Yoo promised that he’d never lie. Prosecutor Yoo says Shi Hyun must want to know if he’s X or if he’s the man the murdered Chief Moon. Tears in her eyes, Shi Hyun begs her brother to explain his actions. Prosecutor Yoo says that it all began with the fire that killed all his classmates but him. Prosecutor Yoo states there is something she doesn’t know.

Flashback…A young Prosecutor Yoo saves a man from burning in an apartment fire.

OMG!!!! The man was the arsonist that killed Prosecutor Yoo’s classmates and Tae Joon’s sister.

Prosecutor Yoo tells Shi Hyun he used his powers to save a man, but the man turned out to be the arsonist who killed over 200 people in the fire.

Flashback…A young Prosecutor Yoo lies in the mental hospital muttering he killed them all.

Shi Hyun declares it wasn’t his fault. Prosecutor Yoo agrees. He declares that incident led him to the decision of how to use his powers. Shi Hyun asks if he’s trying to stop cold sale. Prosecutor Yoo states that if she knows about cold sale, he has little information to offer. Shi Hyun asks if he plans to kill the Elder. Prosecutor Yoo says someone has to stop the Elder and the organization. Shi Hyun points out that Prosecutor Yoo is a prosecutor and legal means can destroy the Elder and the organization. Prosecutor Yoo is adamant that option won’t work. Shi Hyun cries and tells her brother he’s gone too far. She tells him to stop. Prosecutor Yoo is firm. There have been too many sacrifices to stop now. He recalls the deaths of Baek Woo Jin (Terminator 1), Chief Moon and Tae Joon. He says he cannot alter his path. He declares he WILL stop the Elder. He is adamant that Shi Hyun cannot stop him. Shi Hyun watches him walks away and cries.

Terrific confrontation. Shi Hyun was emotional while Prosecutor Yoo was coolly logical. We finally know the connection between Prosecutor Yoo, the arsonist, and Tae Joon. Prosecutor Yoo saved the arsonist who went on to kill many. The guilt sent Prosecutor Yoo to a mental hospital. Another excellent plot point from Writer Kang.

Do Jin recalls Tae Joon’s last words to him. He drives away.

Prosecutor Yoo calls the Deputy Chief Prosecutor and asks to meet.

Do Jin arrives at the storage locker. He uses the key he took from Tae Joon’s hard drive. He finds boxes with a folder on top. He opens the folder and finds pictures. He’s stunned by the one that shows Tae Joon watching his wife.

Excellent!

Dong Soo arrives at the storage locker facility. He walks amount the rows and finds the locker identified in the sketch. He finds the crumbled photo. He realizes what it means. He’s gob smacked.

Excellent! Dong Soo must have a smidge of sympathy for Do Jin know that he knows he was manipulated too.

Prosecutor Yoo brings the Deputy Chief Prosecutor to base camp. He declares that this was where Tae Joon and Do Jin plotted against the Elder. He gives the Deputy Chief Prosecutor the files Tae Joon had against the Elder. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor sees information on Ms. Jo, himself and the law firm. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor asks if he can trust Prosecutor Yoo. He hesitates and states the Deputy Chief Prosecutor must suspect him of working with Tae Joon and Do Jin against the Elder. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor asks if Prosecutor Yoo will kill Do Jin to prove his trustworthiness. Prosecutor Yoo points out that Do Jin is a trained expert. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor says Prosecutor Yoo need only get Do Jin in front of them. Prosecutor Yoo doesn’t understand the plural. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor explains he met the Elder today. He can’t share details but knows that nothing will stop them. Prosecutor Yoo repeats that the Deputy Chief Prosecutor met the Elder. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor chuckles with glee and declares he needs a right-hand man he can trust. He asks Prosecutor Yoo to be his right-hand man. Prosecutor Yoo forces a smile.

Shi Hyun return to the office and asks Young Sim where Dong Soo is. Young Sim explains that Dong Soo is pursuing the storage locker in the first sketch. Young Sim confirms she’s looking at the other sketches but has nothing definitive yet. Young Sim asks how the conversation went with her brother. Dong Soo walks in the office and overhears Young Sim asks if Shi Hyun’s brother confirmed he killed Chief Moon. Shi Hyun nods her head in the affirmative. Shi Hyun declares she’ll personally arrest her brother. Shi Hyun declares she won’t arrest him because she hates him, but because she hates him. She’s determined to stop him.

Awk! Tears!

Young Sim spies Dong Soo. He shows Young Sim the picture he picked up at the storage locker. She scans the photo. They recognize all people in the photo – Do Jin’s wife, the rapist that killed her, and Tae Joon scouting the situation 2 days before the rape and murder. Shi Hyun and Young Sim are shocked. Young Sim can’t believe that Tae Joon knew Do Jin’s wife would be murdered. Dong Soo is clear. Prosecutor Yoo allowed Do Jin’s wife to be killed to recruit Do Jin to become his Terminator. Dong Soo stares into Shi Hyun’s eyes and declares that her brother became a monster while trying to catch a monster. Tears fill Shi Hyun’s eyes. Dong Soo asks Shi Hyun if she’ll catch her brother because she loves him. He points out Prosecutor Yoo must be arrested for the crimes he planned and committed with his powers. Shi Hyun reels with the absolute certainty of who her brother is.

Do Jin recalls Tae Joon’s apologize. He now knows what Tae Joon meant. He laughs the sad laugh of a man that has been played, used, and destroyed.

Do Jin calls Prosecutor Yoo and asks to meet. Prosecutor Yoo says he’s busy but will be available in an hour. They set the meeting location. The camera pulls back revealing the Deputy Chief Prosecutor dead on the floor at base camp.

Do Jin drives like a mad man to the meeting location.

Prosecutor Yoo stares at the dead Deputy Chief Prosecutor.

Shi Hyun girds herself for what is to come.

Dong Soo stares at the picture that Do Jin found.

My Thoughts

The perfect set up for the final episode. I was worried. Last episode Shi Hyun and Prosecutor Yoo weren’t seeing visions. It was unacceptable to me that visions wouldn’t play into the ending of this series, which is based on future visions. Writer Kang penned an episode that answered questions, revealed connections, and surprised.
* We’d wondered what the connection between Prosecutor Yoo and the fire was. The shocking answer was that he saved the arsonist due a vision. The emotional toll put him in the mental hospital.
* We learned who the elder was. The Elder wasn’t a single person but rather of group of powerful men and women. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor was almost disappointed with that and told Ms. Jo that even though he now part of the group and “an Elder” he would consider her the “true Elder” and support her to the end.
* We learned that Tae Joon knew that Do Jin’s wife would be killed. What a bitter pill that must have been for Do Jin to realize that Tae Joon knew his wife would be killed and let it happen. Why Tae Joon was sorry for his past actions was suddenly clear.
* Prosecutor Yoo killed the Deputy Chief Prosecutor. This doesn’t bother me at all. The Deputy Chief Prosecutor hired the assassin that killed Prosecutor Yoo and Shi Hyun’s parents. He was directly responsible for their deaths. His death was good riddance to bad rubbish. The only reason I hesitate is because the Deputy Chief Prosecutor knew that the Elder wasn’t a single person but rather a group. If Prosecutor Yoo killed him before learning that, then his plan to cut off the head of the Elder isn’t broad enough.
* Tae Joon killed the elder’s assassin the killed himself to stop the Elder from learning they were hot on his heels. Tae Joon had an almost tender moment with Do Jin when he stopped him from going into the police station, noting it would be a suicide mission. Instead Tae Joon took the mission himself and paid with his life to allow Prosecutor Yoo to continue the pursuit of the Elder.
* Prosecutor Yoo foresaw his sister’s death in his vision. Shi Hyun sketched her brother’s death in her vision. That was plot perfection by Writer Kang. Dong Soo took the sketch so Shi Hyun doesn’t know her last sketch foretold her brother’s death. I agree with Dong Soo’s stance that sketching her brother’s death would emotionally wreck Shi Hyun. She manages to function with the personal guilt she associates with her visions but it takes a toll.

Detective Kang Dong Soo (Rain) had to feel some amount of sympathy for Do Jin when he learned that Prosecutor Yoo and Tae Joon knew his wife would be murdered but did nothing. Dong Soo was shocked and dismayed by the photo. He realized the ramifications. Do Jin was no longer simply the man that killed Dong Soo’s finance. He was the man whose significant other was killed for the cause just like Dong Soo’s significant other was killed. Early in the series the parallels between Dong Soo and Do Jin were clear but have gotten muddled as the series continued. It was brought back in focus in this episode. Dong Soo bluntly told Shi Hyun that her brother was a monster. He is correct. One of the best things about Dong Soo is his direct communication style. It is unusual in kdramas. I love Dong Soo’s “tell it like it is” ways.

Yoo Shi Hyun (Lee Sun Bin) knows her brother killed Chief Moon. The shock and pain her brother’s wayward ways knifed Shi Hyun. I cried when she pledged to save her brother because she loved him. I agree that first and foremost Prosecutor Yoo is Shi Hyun’s brother. Intellectually she knows what he’s done is reprehensible (though that is fresh news and still has her reeling) but emotionally he IS her brother. The brother that vows never to lie to her…but he did. The brother that killed her surrogate father, Chief Moon. The brother that refuses to back down from his dark path to destroy the elder.

Kim Do Jin (Lee Dong Gun) was shocked to learn his wife’s death was foreseen by Prosecutor Yoo and Tae Joon knew it would occur. Do Jin has been a robot-like Terminator for the majority of this series. But what he learned won’t allow him to let Prosecutor Yoo off without consequences. Do Jin believes Prosecutor Yoo knew that his wife would be murdered and did nothing. He’s right. What will Do Jin do next?

What’s my wish list for the final episode of this stellar series?
* It seems impossible that Do Jin and Prosecutor Yoo won’t die. I don’t want Dong Soo to kill Do Jin and I don’t want Shi Hyun to kill her brother. I can’t see Do Jin killing Prosecutor Yoo. The final confrontation between brother and sister must happen. Therefore, Prosecutor Yoo will likely kill Do Jin. Even though I’ve hoped that Do Jin would join to Team Good in the past, it is too late. Do Jin will die.
* The Elder’s organization must be stopped. Prosecutor Yoo isn’t wrong that the Elder must be stopped. What he doesn’t know nor does Team Good, is that the Elder isn’t a single person but rather a powerful group. Prosecutor Yoo wanted to cut off the head of the Elder not the arms and legs. Unfortunately, the Elder has many heads. I want the Elder’s organization to be completely destroyed. However, no one knows the extent of the organization’s member and there’s only one episode left.
* The remaining Team Good members – Shi Hyun, Dong Soo, and Young Sim – survive.
** Young Sim has already beaten death and proven herself a true team player and friend.
** Dong Soo must have the final confrontation with Do Jin. There must be a reconciliation for the deaths of their significant others.
** Shi Hyun must have the final confrontation with her brother. Good must defeat the misguided evil her brother has become.

I rank this episode (on a scale from 1-10) as terrific. My episode ranking chart is below.

I loved the display of loyalty, comraderie and joint refusal to give in to higher authority in the face of justice that the police squad and captain showed when they refused to relinquish the prisoner to Tae joon despite his being internal affairs and able to hold it over each of them later.

“[Do jin] laughs the sad laugh of a man that has been played, used, and destroyed.” kjt
Very apt description. It made me think that the only difference between Do jin and Dong soo is that Dong soo has his police “family” for guidance and support.

    • I loved the display of loyalty, camaraderie and joint refusal to give in to higher authority in the face of justice
That was a nice moment led by Detective Kyung, especially with the Station Chief initially caving to the threat from his boss. Detective Kyung and the men put themselves on the line in that moment. It was great seeing Tae Joon’s power rendered useless.

It made me think that the only difference between Do jin and Dong soo is that Dong soo has his police “family” for guidance and support.
The parallel but different paths these two characters have taken has been an effective plot point throughout the series.

    • Jane Tilly says:

Tae Joon 🔮 seriously abused his authority trying to sieze custody of the assassin. I 💖 that the squad Chief defied Tae Joon 🔮 and cheered 📣 when Dong Soo ⛈️ stated to Tae Joon 🔮 “you are mine”.

I concur about KJT’s description of Do Jin’s 🎖️ “sad laugh of a man that has been played, used, and destroyed” being very apt. I wondered if he was thinking back to T2’s description about COMING TO THE REALIZATION that he was NOT going down a righteous path.

  2. Jane Tilly says:

Tae Joon 🔮 killing the assassin was expected, but color 🖍️ me 🎊surprised🎉 he committed suicide❗ Dead men tell no tales … I concur with KJT’s assessment that “The one thing you can say about Tae Joon [🔮] is that he was unwaveringly loyal to Prosecutor Yoo [💼] and the cause to bring down the Elder [👴] to the bitter end.”

Unbeknownst to Butterfly 🦋 Team, IF the assassin made a phone call to The Elder 👴, it would have been DISASTEROUS to BOTH them and Team Vigilante.

Yet, once again Team Vigilante, even without Tae Joon 🔮 , preemptively took the lead with Prosecutor Yoo 💼 AKA Shi Joon 💼 seizing Tae Joon’s 🔮 office materials, to destroy any incriminating evidence and Do Jin 🎖️ rifling through Tae Joon’s 🔮 home to mitigate exposure to any evidence of Team Vigilante or their purpose: to take down The Elder 👴. I was highly imoressed Shi Joon 💼 came up with a plausible story of executing the assassin to protect The Elder 👴. Team Vigilante RULES when it comes to cover ups.

OMO, when Dong Soo ⛈️ rhetorically asked Shi Hyun 📝 what was the difference between Shi Joon 💼 and The Elder 👴; they BOTH step on innocent people … spot-on observation Dong Soo ⛈️, spot-on❗

HAH❗ The Elder IS the group, with Ms. Jo at the helm. What do you wanna bet Prosecutor Park 👓 will be wanting to tie up loose ends AKA eliminate anyone who knows he has an association with The Elder 👴, namely Shi Joon 💼, Do Jin 🎖️ and Shi Hyun 📝❓⁉️

Why would Shi Joon 💼 and Shi Hyun 📝 see each other’s deaths, but not their own❓⁉️ Is this a situation where only one of these predictions will come true or are both ‘fated’. I think Dong Soo ⛈️ was right about Shi Hyun 📝 not being able to handle foretelling her brother’s death via sketch ✒️, I support the burning the sketch ✒️.

Ha ha ha, no response from Dong Soo ⛈️ when Young Sim 💻 tried to get him to promise not to cause any trouble; at least he didn’t lie.

Tae Joon 🔮 apologizing to Do Jin 🎖️ twice seemed to slightly unnerve him; inquiring minds wanted to know about the motivation behind the apologies. What was the promise Shi Joon 💼 gave Tae Joon 🔮❓⁉️ Did it have to do with his suicide, the apology to Do Jin 🎖️ or both❓⁉️ Why would Tae Joon 🔮 have Do Jin’s 🎖️journal❓⁉️ I would have thought the journal would have been at the floral shop hideout or in Do Jin’s 🎖️ possession.

HOLY COW 🐮 Do Jin 🎖️ now KNOWS his wife’s murder could have been prevented❗ I don’t think Tae Joon’s 🔮 apology matters and I strongly suspect Do Jin’s 🎖️ loyalty to Prosecutor Yoo Shi Joon 💼 just dissapated. Dong Soo ⛈️ finding the photo was good as KJT mentioned “Excellent! Dong Soo must have a smidge of sympathy for Do Jin know that he knows he was manipulated too.”.

    Will Do Jin 🎖️ be the one to kill Shi Joon💼 ❓⁉️ Dong Soo ⛈️ aptly stated Shi Joon 💼 became a monster 🧟‍♂️ to catch a monster 🧟‍♂️ … Do Jin 🎖️ became a monster … will Dong Soo ⛈️ become a monster 🧟‍♂️ too❓⁉️ I hope (( 🙏)) not❗

It seems that Shi Joon 💼 may have needed more work on his mental health before being released as a young man, as it seems he seriously has his priorities skewed; I wondered if Shi Joon 💼 was willing to sacrifice his sister or his Hitman Do Jin 🎖️in his pursuit of The Elder. Is Prosecutor Park 👓 dead❓⁉️

I think KJT’s wish 🍀 list is pretty much what I want too❗

    • Beez says:

“Tae Joon apologizing to Do Jin twice seemed to slightly unnerve him…” Jane Tilly
I now understand how Tae Joon could at first be so cold to Do jin, telling him “I don’t want to hear your sob story” and then doing a 180 and apologizing. At first, his guilt didn’t want to dwell on what he had done. But as he saw things wrapping up (one way or the other), he felt he needed to apologize even though Do jin didn’t know what he was apologizing for.

“What was the promise Shi Joon gave Tae Joon?” Jane Tilly
My guess is the promise may have been regarding some type of leniency when time came to prosecute him? Maybe keeping the death penalty off the table?

Yup, Shi Yoon definitely had a mental break. T
Possesing the power is a lot to handle for anyone, but the guilt on a young kid, and it was his classmates to boot!

      • Jane Tilly says:

I agree Beez, having the power to foretell future events would be difficult to handle. I think how much Shi Hyun 📝 struggled with guilt due to the outcomes of her sketches ✒️ and then compare that to the cause and effect Shi Joon’s 💼 one single incident had … over a hundred people died … it’s only natural that he should wig out.

        Episode 16 explains the promise.

    • I was highly imoressed Shi Joon 💼 came up with a plausible story of executing the assassin to protect The Elder 👴. Team Vigilante RULES when it comes to cover ups
Prosecutor Yoo can justify anything effectively.

what was the difference between Shi Joon 💼 and The Elder 👴; they BOTH step on innocent people … spot-on observation Dong Soo ⛈️, spot-on
One of the best things about Dong Soo is his logical conclusions said not to hurt but to illuminate. 🤔

Why would Shi Joon 💼 and Shi Hyun 📝 see each other’s deaths, but not their own
I found that fascinating plot point from Writer Kang.

I support the burning the sketch ✒️.
      I do too.

HOLY COW 🐮 Do Jin 🎖️ now KNOWS his wife’s murder could have been prevented❗ I don’t think Tae Joon’s 🔮 apology matters and I strongly suspect Do Jin’s 🎖️ loyalty to Prosecutor Yoo Shi Joon 💼 just dissapated
      I gasped in shock…oh the ramifications…

      Dong Soo ⛈️ aptly stated Shi Joon 💼 became a monster 🧟‍♂️ to catch a monster 🧟‍♂️ … Do Jin 🎖️ became a monster … will Dong Soo ⛈️ become a monster 🧟‍♂️ too❓
      Strong logic.

It seems that Shi Joon 💼 may have needed more work on his mental health before being released as a young man, as it seems he seriously has his priorities skewed
So true. I’m still surprised he kept his future seeing ability a secret for so long. He guarded that secret well.

      • Jane Tilly says:

I find it interesting that he was an adolescent when he discovered his gift and yet he managed to hide from his sister.
I would have thought he would have divulged to Shi Hyun 📝, his sister with a similar gift and mentor her.
