Would I Date Him? The K2

This time on Would I Date Him? I reflect upon the leading man, Kim Je Ha (Ji Chang Wook), in the series The K2. I am a Ji Chang Wook fan. He was the reason I watched this series.

Our candidate: Kim Je Ha portrayed by Ji Chang Wook from the series The K2.

His Background: Ex-soldier with PTDS who wants revenge.  Je Ha was a soldier in Iraq who fell in love with a foreign translator and they became engaged. She translated a meeting for illegal arms trafficking. She was murdered to silence her and Je Ha was framed for this murder. On the run in Spain, Je Ha encounters Anna, who is also on the run from her captors (powerful people). He tries to save her but she is recaptured. Je Ha returns to Korea and lives off the grid. That ends the night he sees a Presidential candidate, Assemblyman Jang, cavorting with a woman who is not his wife.  To silence him, Je Ha is hunted for elimination on the orders of Yoo Jin, Assemblyman Jang’s wife, a powerful woman. Je Ha turns the tables and gets incriminating evidence against Yoo Jin. Keeping her enemies close, Yoo Jin hires Je Ha to be a bodyguard for the security firms she controls. He is assigned to guard Assemblyman Jang’s daughter, Anna, the woman he tried to save in Spain. Je Ha vows to protect her this time and uses Yoo Jin to facilitate revenge against Assembly Park, who Yoo Jin identifies as the man that ordered his finance murdered in Iraq.

Pluses: Tough but had a heart. Je Ha had a need to save a damsel in distress whether that damsel was weak (Anna) or powerful (Yoo Jin). Originally a loner he rejected the comradery of his coworkers. But Mr. Song, Col Jo, and Agent So contributed to Je Ha’s realization that lone wolf wasn’t always the best option. Je Ha was a top notch fighter and those skills were called upon again and again. Killer body, darling smile, brains and brawn all made Je Ha desirable.

Minuses:  Allowed his quest for revenge to align him with ethically bankrupt people and initially pursue death not justice for Assemblyman Jang. To his credit, he switched his focus to justice as the series progressed. The other minus, his job routinely puts him in danger.

Would I date him? Yes. What’s not to like about Je Ha? If he reduced the job related danger, that would eliminate my major negative. Did I mention he had a killer body, darling smile, brains and brawn? He’s a keeper!

    Date him? YES!

Something about reading your post this time made me see Jeha as a younger version of Master Song (minus the stupid move of murdering someone for money/loyalty/rank/ whatever-the-stupid-reason-we-weren’t-given) – oops, back on track – if Jeha had not fallen for Ana,I could see him getting older, filling Master Song’s shoes and being all curmudgeonly on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside. I’m basing that off his interactions with Agent Seo and the guys.

I see your logic. It is a possibility. Je Ha and Mr Song were kind hearted which is important and appealing.

Oh Beez, you are missing your Master Song! I could see Je Ha becoming a Master Song as he ages. I ❤ Master Song too! I hate that the writers made him a killer.

@JT they made him a killer with no remorse scene. Really put a blemish on our being left thinking of the JSS agents going on as family. smh

But as to dating Jeha…Ummmmm. At home, I’d give him lots of paint jobs so that he walks around in sleeveless tank tops and I’d even buy him a kitten. But on Sunday, I’d insist he comb his hair back and wear a black suit with a white dress shirt (sunglasses optional) and roleplay that he’s my bodyguard as he escorts me home from church or Costco or wherever. And he wouldn’t mind because I would reward him greatly for updoing his hair. 😉

LOL! Love your plan. I can’t argue with incentivizing for the upswept hair styling! 🙂

Haha! “incentivizing” – it would just work out that way. When his hair is back off his face I could just pounce on him with claws out!

I have a lot of K-star biases but he’s the only one that makes me talk about claws and biting lips. I swear his bubble lips just make me want to nibble…just ever so lightly. 😀

My only issue with Je Ha was his initial plan of murderous revenge, which thankfully later turned to a quest for justice!

I would definitely date Je Ha. 💋 I think Beez has the right idea of asking for assistance on things painting…I can think of some other shirtless activities…Ooh did I just say that out loud? Oh my I think I did! 😛

I ❤ when our Je Ha was dressed in dress shirt and suit with his hair swept back! ***SWOONING*** It was without a doubt his best look!
