Would I Want My Brother to Date Her? Flower of Evil
Is a female character worthy to date someone I care about such as my brother? For this installment of Would I Want My Brother to Date Her? I reflect upon the female lead from the series Flower of Evil.
Our candidate. Cha Ji Won, portrayed by Moon Chae Won, doesn’t know the truth about her husband. Will the truth keep them close or destroy everything?
Background. Cha Ji Won has a happy life with her husband and daughter. But the marriage is put to the test when Ji Won begins to suspect, then realize, her husband has kept things from her…impactful things.
Her pluses:
LOGICAL. Ji Won is the logical detail detective in the team. Her brain rules. She needs this side of her when she realizes her husband is hiding a side of himself that could end their family.
LOYAL. Ji Won stands by her man until she feels she’s a fool. Then she takes a step back. But even then her heart wants her to believe in her husband. Her faith in them got them to the other side.
LOVING. Ji Won loved her husband for who he was when he hid the truth. Ji Won loved her husband for who he was when the truth emerged. Even when she decided to stick by him or ditch him her heart never wavered.
Her minuses:
FLEXIBLE ETHICS. Ji Won wanted to protect her husband so much she was willing to destroy evidence and hide the truth from the police (her coworkers). If you assume that reprieve didn’t last long, you’d be right. Even though she lied to her coworkers, they eventually understood and allowed her to continue to investigate alongside them to find the truth. That showed their faith in her.
Would I Want Her to Date my Brother?
👍 Yes. She loves deeply and with passion. She accepts and loves her man as is. She’s a caring mother. If she were emotionally available, she’d be a positive, supportive person for my brother.
A very admirable character!

Ji Won’s flexible ethics concerned me as well.
Her qualities of being loving, loyal and logical would be appealing to my brother … so yes❣

A little too perfect to be real, but very enjoyable to see. I like how she was inexplicably and irrevocably in love with her strange husband.
