Would I Date Him? Backstreet Rookie

This time on “Would I Date Him?” I reflect upon the leading man from the series Backstreet Rookie.

Our candidate: Backstreet Rookie’s Choi Dae Hyun portrayed by Ji Chang Wook, is a manager/owner of the convenience store.

Ji Chang Wook is one of my cadre of cuties, an actor I regularly watch the series they are in. Favorite dramas of this appealing actor include Healer and The K2.

Background. Choi Dae Hyun is the manager/owner of the convenience store. His family helps him run the store. He’s dating a former co-worker from a wealthy family but after 2 years of dating they’ve yet to introduce each other to their respective families. When he advertises for a part-timer, Jung Saet Byul (Kim You Jung) walks into his life.

His pluses:

STAYED TRUE TO HIS RELATIONSHIP. While he was in a relationship with his girlfriend, he was faithful and true. He supported her, valued her, and respected her.
ETHICAL. Dae Hyun was trustworthy, truthful, fair, and honest. He led by example.
KIND. Dae Hyun had a kind heart, depth of character and saw the good in others.

His minuses:

ANNOYING FAMILY. His sister thought nothing of taking (stealing) merchandise or cash from the convenience store. His father and mother had a “yell at each other” relationship though they did love each other.

Is he my next date?
YES. Dae Hyun is likable, lovable, and prioritizes his woman. The odds of a satisfying and fulfilling relationship are high with a man like Dae Hyun.

Asian drama fan. I watch and blog dramas on https://kjtamusings.wordpress.com/.

No question. No hesitation! But I admit that I would be nagging him all the time about being too nice. While I’d love that about him, (he could still be nice to little kids, and the needy etc.) but all the girls and women who’d insist on piggy back rides and hanging around him – I’d be training him at home with practice sessions: What do you do when a young girl jumps on your back? What if she needs a ride home?

Maybe make a series of flashcards for easy review at a moment’s notice.

Nope. I’d be drilling HARD! He wouldn’t need flash cards because he couldn’t leave the house until I was satisfied. There’s no time for flash cards or notes when some hot to trot yeoja is determined to get your namja like Saet-byl was!

“Our candidate: Backstreet Rookie’s Choi Dae Hyun portrayed by Ji Chang Wook, needs money and lies to procure it.”

This sounds like the description for Park Jin Sung from “Sweet Munchies”. Choi Dae Hyun was on the up and up. Please feel free to delete this comment.

Monogamous, Ethical, Kind AND looks like Ji Chang Wook … sign me up❣

Choi Dae Hyun 🍭🧍‍♂️ was a total sweetheart 💖 I would absolutely date him. His family makes him a little less desirable for a long term relationship, although I really liked his mom Boon Hee 👩‍🦱. Even even though Boon Hee 👩‍🦱 was loud and cantankerous, she had a generous heart, which can go a long way in overcoming her cantankerousness.
