Parasite Review

Parasite Review

Synopsis. Parasite is a 2019 Korean film about a poor family that ingratiates themselves in a rich family. What happens next will surprise you.

What I liked.
Superior Story. Director/Writer Bong Joon Ho and Writer Han Jin Won crafted an intricate story with black humor, societal commentary and reveals until the last frame.
Stellar Cast. This ensemble of actors hit the mark in every scene.
Exceptional Production. The sets, lighting, camera, editing, were all first class.

What I didn’t like.
Nothing. I struggle to quibble about anything in this film.

Would I recommend Parasite? Definitely! This movie earned every award (Academy Awards – Best Picture, Director, Screenplay, International Film, etc.; Blue Dragon Awards – Best Film, Director, etc.)  it received. The trailer gives you a taste:

OST.  The full album is instrumental and the track list can be found at wikipedia (link). A playlist of the full album is below:

Glad you enjoyed this one too 🙂 It’s a fantastic film, and I too was thrilled that it got the recognition it deserved.

It’s on Hulu! I didn’t expect that as Hulu seems to get movies that Netflix and other venues have passed on. I was surprised that I liked this so much. First, because I don’t care for the older actor playing the dad and I also don’t care for the cutie younger actor. Second, usually if something’s super hyped, then it usually falls short of my expectations. Oh, also, while I love dark comedies in drama series, Kmovies are usually waaay too dark for me. But strangely this hit all the right notes. To sum it up – everyone’s right – It’s really good!
