December 2019 Blogging
Looking forward to this series….
Crash Landing on You. The 16 episodes of this tvN network series will air on Saturday and Sunday Dec 14, 2019 through Feb 2, 2020.
Why am I watching this show? Hyun Bin, though not one of my cadre of cuties, is an actor I’ve followed and watched many series he has been in. Here’s hoping this series will showcase this terrific actor. I remember Son Ye Jin from Personal Taste with Lee Min Ho and thought she did a good job in that uneven series.
What’s this show about? Love across North and South Korea appears to be the gist.
Genres: Comedy, Romance, Drama.
How can you watch this show? Netflix will air this series. My Country: The New Age had issues with Netflix releasing the episodes in a timely fashion towards the latter end of the series. Here’s the expected air dates (1 day delay, air on Sundays and Mondays).
Inspired by My Country: New Age….
Six Flying Dragons. The 50 episodes of this SBS network series aired from Oct 5, 2015 – Mar 22, 2016.
Why am I watching this show? Now that I’ve seen Bang Won portrayed by Jang Hyuk, in My Country: The New Age, I want to see another stellar actor, Yoo Ah In, own this role. Both are actors I hold in the highest regard for their acting skills. They are in my cadre of cuties, the actors I regularly watch.
What’s this show about? The ambition, rise and fall of real and fictional characters based around Yi Bang Won.
Genres: Historical.
Why haven’t I watched this before now? Years ago, after the recommendation of readers, I started to watch this drama and was enjoying the initial episodes when life intervened and I never picked it back up.
Will I blog this drama? No, I’ll watch and enjoy. I will write a review.
awwww, kjt, you won’t be recapping SFD. I do understand though as its rather long. I would’ve enjoyed starting a rewatch with you though.

I can’t see 50 episodes of recaps, it would slow me down too much. I tend to binge watch.

That’s true, it would. Don’t mind me, I’m just looking for a reason to rewatch and share the experience. *pout*

Will look forward to your Crash Landing of Love recaps. Hope you enjoy Six Flying Dragons too. It’s a great watch and feels very grand. It’s also really interesting to see the differences between Jang Hyuk and Yoo Ah In’s portrayals of Lee Bang Won as well as the differences in how they tell the history. For instance, Lee Seong Gye is portrayed in a much friendlier light in Six Flying Dragons. Have fun!

Looking forward to diving into Six Flying Dragons. Jang Hyuk and Yoo Ah In are two of the best. Bang Won is a fascinating character.
I’m binge watching Tale of Nokdu now. Wanted something light and I’ve been really enjoying the historical dramas this year.

I’m going to start The Tale of Nokdu this weekend. Definitely need some lighter fare after My Country!
We really have had a great year for historicals dramas with plenty of them and them being quite good. Making up a bit for the lack of them we had last year 🙂
