October 2019 Blogging

Melting Me Softly
. I’m thrilled that Ji Chang Wook’s new series is here. It will air on Saturday & Sunday on tvN and runs its 16 episodes from Sep 28 – Nov 17, 2019.

Why am I watching this show? I’m watching this show because of Ji Chang Wook, a charter top tier member of my cadre of cuties.

What’s this show about? It is about  man and a woman who participated in a project to be frozen for 24 hours, only to be waken up 20 years later.

Genres: Mystery, Comedy, Romance, Sci-Fi, Fantasy.

How will I watch this show? Viki looks like it will pick it up.

My Country

Why am I watching this show? Jang Hyuk, the number one member of my cadre of cuties. Jang Hyuk is not playing a lead role but a major role as royal Lee Bang Won. Jang Hyuk doesn’t always get the lead role. But he’s sure to elevate this series.  Lady G well written post (link to post) is worth reading. I didn’t watch the trailers and skimmed the plot details as I go into a series with limited knowledge.

The 20 episodes of this JTBC network series will air on Friday & Saturdays from Oct 4, 2019 – Dec 7, 2019.

What’s this show about? Two friends aim their swords against one another due to differences in opinion about “my country.”

Genres: Action, Historical, Romance, Drama.

How will I watch this show? Netflix will air this series.

Asian drama fan. I watch and blog dramas on https://kjtamusings.wordpress.com/.

Thank you for the link back to my post and the compliment. 🙂 At the time I wrote it I didn’t realize Netflix was the only site airing My Country, I edited the post to reflect that.

Both are shows that I’m really looking forward to 🙂

@kjt – I’m sooo glad and excited you’ll be recapping My Country. I wanted to suggest it but I know at one time we had you recapping to the max! What’s the most number of shows that you have recapped at one time?

P.S. I’m really hoping Hyukie is not cast here just to pull in the more mature viewer. I hope the role is fleshed out and worthwhile.

I tried 4 shows at the same time and failed, 3 engulfs me, 2 works (though I want separate in the airing days or I have to take sides which one to watch first).

Concur. He doesn’t have to be the leading man to make a big impact with the right writer.

Only 4? Don’t get me wrong, I couldn’t handle 2! I just mean, I could’ve sworn that at one time you were juggling about 6!

I think you did 5 at one time, some of them were nutshell recaps, watching 5 in one week is PLENTY, I cannot imagine recapping 5, even if all of them were nutshell recaps!

*nodding* I know it was a LOT. And kjt was always so fast and on top of them all that around the time she fell behind (I think it was around Sketch), I felt worried and guilty because I personally felt I had taxed her to the limit!

I’ve been looking forward to My Country since I first heard about it. I concur with others hoping Hyukie’s role is significant.

I’m not complaining over the casting of Yang Se Jong and Hwan Do Woo in the lead roles … I’m an equal opportunity appreciater of fine art … they are mighty fine too!

Just watched the first episode of My Country. It was very good! The young cast was great. Looking forward to your recaps and discussions.
