What I liked.
Writing. Writers Lee Myung Sook and Choi Bo Rim based this series a web novel “Jinsimi Dadda” by Yegeo which was published from December 23, 2016 to October 11, 2017. The web novel provided the fodder that Writers Lee and Choi mined to create a delightful drama with a sweet primary couple and two bonus couples. Every episode was fun filled with darling moments between our couple, the law firm team, and the secondary couples who brought extra interest and evolved throughout the series. Every character contributed in this series.
Leading man lawyer Kwon Jung Rok (Lee Dong Wook). I was pleased to see Lee Dong Wook have the starring role in this drama. He was superb in Goblin in the secondary lead role. In Touch Your Heart he hit the mark as the quiet, smart, lawyer that learned that his preconceptions were wrong and he could learn a thing or two from his new secretary. I’m a sucker for a male lead that is protective and kind.
Leading lady actress Oh Yoon Seo (Yoo In Na). Just like Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na was superb in Goblin in the secondary lead role. She and Lee Dong Wook were a terrific secondary couple in that series. In Touch Your Heart there more than met the eye to the character Yoon Seo. She had brains, resilience, initiative. This couple was built on growing mutual respect during their discovery of each other.
Secondary lead Kim Se Won (Lee Sang Woo). Se Won was a terrific friend to Jung Rok. He understood his quiet friend’s confusion over exploring a relationship and gave him straight talking when needed. He was charming and kind to Yoon Seo. His pursuit of his former love was low key. Even though they were just okay as a couple, I liked his character and was pleased to see him “get the girl”.
Secondary Couple Lawyer Choi Yoon Hyuk (Shim Hyung Tak) worries that Lawyer Dan Moon Hee (Park Kyung Hye). I LOVED this couple. Initially adversaries, she predictably fell for his good looks and confidence. But this mamma’s boy wasn’t interested until she literally shielded him from a hit from a disgruntled client. That opened the possibility and they agreed to a dating contract. But that didn’t solidify their relationship there was more to come. These two campy characters were never over the top for me, they had humanity under the silliness and I rooted for them to find happiness.

What I didn’t like.
Our leading lady’s loose lips when tipsy. Thankfully this only happened in the initial episodes.
Would I recommend Touch Your Heart? Yes, this series was a delight to watch. The characters had more depth than you’d imagine, the stories were more intricate that one might expect in a rom-com, but shining reason to watch was the superb chemistry and innocence of this adult couple. Yoo In Na and Lee Dong Wook demonstrated once again they have the chemistry to create a memorable couple. Touch Your Heart’s couple was sweet, smart, and steadfast…a breath of fresh air.
