If I’ve got only a moment there are certain scenes I watch for a quick hit of kdrama goodness.
Today’s Favorite Scene is the Motorcycle Kiss from Flower Boy Ramen Shop episode 11. This is the first kiss between our leads.
The setup – Our leading lady Eun Bi (Lee Chung Ah) is on a date with second leading man Kang Hyuk (Lee Ki Woo) at a movie theater. She refuses to accept she is drawn our leading man Chi Soo (Jung Il Woo). Chi Soo has found out that Eun Bi is on a date with Kang Hyuk and jealousy infuses him. He storms to the movie theater via motorcycle. When he arrives, he searches the theater for Eun Bi. He finds her sitting alone. Chi Soo pulls her out of the theater and down to his motorcycle.
Eun Bi is furious that Chi Soo removed her from the theater. She demands to know what he is doing. Does he think she is a fool?
Chi Soo grabs her and kisses her. Eun Bi is stunned and does not actively participate in the kiss.
Eun Bi recovers from the shock of the kiss. She tells Chi Soo that she won’t close her eyes (meaning she will not participate in a kiss).
That’s a challenge Chi Soo won’t back down from. Chi Soo declares he’s not done and swoops in for a second more passionate kiss. His retort “I was not finished” is a superb!
Eun Bi cannot fight her heart and body. She gives herself over to the kiss.
Chi Soo doesn’t just muscle his way through this kiss, he ends it tenderly and pulls away slowly. Yep, they both felt it.
When the kiss ends, they stare into each others eyes while a jilted Kang Hyuk watches. Chi Soo and Eun Bi get on the motorcycle and drive to the Han River.
How did this scene stack up on my kissing criteria?
* Active participation between both parties – He participated in both kisses, she melted into the second kiss.
* Initial kiss then follow on kiss – Yes
* Deep stares at into each others eyes – Yes
* Banter is a bonus – Not exactly banter but his retort that he wasn’t finished after she declared she would not participate is memorable.
* The production value of the scene makes you feel the kiss – Excellent camera work.

Oh ❤ yes <3…I remember watching this one–this was when I starting crushing on Jung Il Woo. 💋
I did feel a bit bad for Kang Hyuk, but if I recall correctly, he was just laid back and didn't let her know how he felt.

I just recently watched this (after Haechi) and realized how good of a kisser is Jung Il Woo. I liked him since Iljimae, but he was a newbie there and very young.
