Il A hears someone enter the office. Thinking quickly, she exits to the secret room. She finds Dong Ho entering the office. Dong Ho asks her where Jin Woo is. They stare at each other.

My Thoughts
* I’m torn about Jin Woo being set up for the lying witness’s murder. On the one hand, this makes him on the run from the law and unable to proceed with the retrial until his innocence is revealed, which seems counter productive. On the other hand, this makes Il A a partner to the case, not just a friend trying to help Jin Woo, but so far ignored.
* Jin Woo refuses to listen to those that recommend subtlety in taking on Gyoo Man Jin Woo’s goal is simple, free his father. He saw no option but the retrial. I find it shortsighted he submitted for the retrial without having the evidence to free his father in hand. What happened to the DVD of Gyoo Man admitting to the murder? Even if Jin Woo couldn’t admit that as evidence in court, the court of public opinion would have a field day with that video. Imagine the number of hits it would get. The escape through the window was unbelievable. It was similar to the moment in the backstory episodes when Jin Woo and Il A escape gangsters with poker chips, a liter of coke and jumping off a roof onto a moving dump truck. He does cry pretty!
* In A looks like she may step up to a lead role now that Jin Woo needs her help. I liked her interaction at the prison. Hopefully she make smart choices to help Jin Woo. I want to see this character prove she has brains as well as heart.
* Dong Ho has to walk a fine line to help Jin Woo but not anger Gyoo Man. It’s almost impossible to please Gyoo Man. Jin Woo does not trust him. I believe Dong Ho can and will come through for Jin Woo and his father. I look forward to his participation. Dong Ho was stellar in the backstory episodes and I want him to sparkle again.
* Gyoo Man is violent, cruel and arrogant. He is an evil character. Nothing redeeming about him at all. I can’t wait for his arrogance to trip him up or Jin Woo / Il A / Dong Ho to get the best of him. We’ve got a ways to go for that to happen.
* Yeo Kyung is a prosecutor. That surprised me. She is ancillary to the story at this point.

  2. Jane Tilly says:

Jin Woo’s confrontation with psycho Gyu Man may be a bit too bold—not the wisest choice…didn’t he learn with the initial trial that the Nam family won’t stop at anything to protect their own. I don’t think Jin Woo has a copy of Gyu Man’s confession; he and In Ah saw this at Dong Ho’s office back at the beginning, but I don’t think he kept a copy of it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Dong Ho kept a copy for himself, even though he told the psycho that he gave him or destroyed all the copies.

I concur that Dong Ho seems to be helping as much as he can without further angering the psycho, if that is even possible. I actually feel a little bit bad for the psycho’s secretary, when he tells the psycho he cannot be involved in killing someone…Hmm this guy seems to have a conscience. Too bad he already helped cover up Jung Ah’s murder. This guy may come in handy down the road.

It was a nice reveal that Jin Woo’s coldness towards In Ah is in order to protect her. ❤ I really hate that Jin Woo was made into a murder suspect—plus a potential witness for his father’s retrial is gone 😦 How in the world is a wanted man going to clear himself?

“In A looks like she may step up to a lead role now that Jin Woo needs her help. I liked her interaction at the prison” Kjtamuser you said.
like yourself, i loved it that she took it upon herself to sleuth alone, without even the “gratitude” or encouragment from Jinwoo itself. she did it purely out of her own righteous character, and her “Not-Blind” faith in Jinwoo and his dad. she will prove later on she is apt fill that vacuum in his heart that was scarred far too long too deep.
Regarding JW revealed knowing she visited dad. “is that why you come here for?…” a very straight forward unpretentious Inah, couldn’t even hide her embarrassment, caught off guard almost panicky looking away, and didnt even lied herself away, almost blaming him, ‘do you have to embarrassed me liked this?’look… JW smiled at her awkward frankness .
JW warming up to Inah finally in a true genuine smile, “… And, Thank you for seeing my father.” that’s from his genuine heart, appreciation, another step by Inah proven her heart of wanting to stay with him, as said by him later on, liked him to extend of standing beside him thru thick and thin…. He knows, and he is grateful, and he is willing to expressed his thanks, he will accepting her further… A relationship deepened further here.

Excellent comments about them. When you love an aspect of a show, you can see it clearer than the casual viewer because you are focused on it.

Sorry I took a couple of days to approve the comment, I was out. Thanks for sharing!
